FAQs

  • Yes. While I primarily work through referrals from neurologists and other healthcare professionals, I have limited openings for self-referrals. If you are based in CA and wish to self-refer, please feel encouraged to contact us.

  • I charge a $500 flat fee for evaluations, which typically take 2-3 hours, and $175 per 50-minute treatment session.

  • No. I operate on a private-pay basis and do not bill insurance. If desired, I can provide a superbill for you to submit directly to your insurance.

  • It depends. Most clients undergo evaluation after an introductory session of clarifying goals. The evaluation process helps get to the heart of what’s changed, how those changes fit with your neurological profile, and why it matters. Evaluations provide a roadmap for selecting treatments that align with your strengths and desired outcomes.

Exceptions are made for family training sessions, very brief time-limited therapy, or if an evaluation has taken place at another facility within the last six months.

  • Sessions are held via teletherapy using a HIPAA-compliant platform. I provide occasional home visits on a case-by-case basis, depending on needs and location.

  • Yes. I have limited availability weekday evenings and Saturday mornings. These spots fill quickly and are charged at a slightly higher rate of $200 per 50-minute session.

  • No. I specialize in acquired conditions that result from injury or illness after a period of established brain development.

  • No. I can offer tips and insight if swallowing issues arise but encourage you to seek in-person treatment to manage dysphagia.

An exception is made for dementia caregiver training as there are many effective strategies we can explore if your loved one is eating less or having difficulty swallowing.

  • I work with clients 16 years and older.
